The Atlanta Police Department requested the usual intervention of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to examine the officers’ use of force after two officers, one on duty and one off, reacted to the incident and fired their firearms. The question of whether or not any of the people they shot at were hurt remains unanswered. Now, the inquiry will focus on counting the number of persons injured by both the suspects’ and the police’s gunfire.
