Bronx Manhunt: Police Search for Kashaan Parks, Suspected in Brutal Rapep

Melrose, Bronx – Police are searching for 39-year-old Kashaan Parks after he allegedly choked and raped a woman on a street in the Bronx early last week. The attack, described by investigators as “heinous,” has left the community on edge.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 5:00 am on May 1st near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue. Surveillance footage captured the horrifying assault, which showed Parks approaching the victim from behind and using his belt to strangle her unconscious. He then dragged her between parked cars where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim, a 45-year-old woman, bravely came forward and identified Parks by a distinctive gap in his teeth. Police released a mugshot of Parks and confirmed he has five prior arrests.

“This was a horrific crime that has shaken our community,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives. “We urge anyone with information on Kashaan Parks’ whereabouts to come forward immediately.”

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The NYPD is also investigating the possibility that Parks and the victim knew each other beforehand, with a possible prior interaction involving a potential prostitution deal.

This case highlights the dangers women face, especially when walking alone at night. Safety tips include staying in well-lit areas, being aware of your surroundings, and trusting your instincts.

Public Outcry Grows as Kashaan Parks Remains at Large

The Bronx community reels in the wake of the brutal assault on a 45-year-old woman, allegedly by 39-year-old Kashaan Parks. With Parks still at large, fear and frustration simmer alongside a growing demand for justice.

Local residents are organizing rallies, calling for increased police presence and improved street lighting in the area. “This could have happened to any of us,” said one resident at a vigil held for the victim. “We need to feel safe walking in our own neighborhood.”

Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with outrage. Many users are sharing Parks’ photo and urging anyone with information to contact the authorities. Others are questioning the reports of a possible prior interaction between Parks and the victim, highlighting the dangers of victim blaming.

The NYPD continues its manhunt, following up on leads and combing through surveillance footage from the surrounding area. However, the lack of an arrest is causing unease. “Every day this man is free is another day a woman could be in danger,” stated a spokesperson for a local women’s shelter.

The case has drawn national attention, with news outlets across the country reporting on the ongoing search for Parks. This increased scrutiny puts pressure on the NYPD to apprehend the suspect swiftly.

As the search continues, the Bronx community grapples with the trauma of the attack. But amidst the fear, there is also a surge of solidarity and a determination to see justice served.
