Will Smith’s I Am Legend, which came out in 2007, has now emerged as one of the greatest recognisable movies of all time. No official date has been announced for the release of I Am Legendary 2. However, on March 4, 2022, Will Smith hinted to the beginning of sequel production.
The actor shared a snapshot to Instagram of a lonely city street without any explanation, but his followers immediately caught on when another famous actor did the same thing.
Since most of the movie has not yet been established and filming has just just began, there is no specific release date at this time; nevertheless, it is likely to enter theatres in late 2024 or early 2025.

According to reports, Will Smith had repeatedly declined offers to return for sequels to I Am Legend until Michael B. Jordan approached him about doing so. Jordan, who was involved in the success of blockbusters like Black Panther and Creed, will also act in the film alongside Smith.
The original film’s screenwriter, Akiva Goldsmith, will return for the sequel. One of the producers claims that Jordan’s idea for such sequel movie is so “inconceivably fantastic” that they simply had to bring this world back to the cinema.
