Every life is celebrated on January 22 as National Sanctity of Human Life Day. To mark the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, a holiday honouring the sanctity of human life from conception forward has been established.
#Sanctity Of Human Life Day
The court ruled in 1973 that a pregnant woman’s right to choose abortion is guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. The vote to uphold the ruling was 7-2 in Roe’s favour. There was extensive lobbying from both pro-life and pro-choice groups leading up to and in the aftermath of the decision.
During his first year in office, Reagan advocated for abortion limits. The Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade has been contested in a number of cases in the late 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. Moreover, states have taken action in case Roe v. Wade is ever overturned, either by creating legislation that is similar to Roe v. Wade or by imposing limits or restrictions on abortions.
Realm Of The Past
Roe v. Wade (1973) was a landmark case in which the United States Supreme Court ruled that a pregnant woman has the right to choose whether or not to have an abortion. This case ruled in favour of the woman’s right to obtain an abortion under state law.

Since then, numerous groups have emerged in open defiance of the decision. As a result of President Reagan’s proclamation of January 22 as National Sanctity of Human Life Day, the movement gained momentum.
Even after Reagan’s proclamation, subsequent presidents continued to recognise this day for its original intent. Indeed, the Lutheran Church has long recognised November 6 as a holy day.
Republicans are well-known for their unwavering support of the fight to limit abortion access, but the anti-choice holiday was largely ignored during the administration of Democratic President Bill Clinton. In 2001, George W. Bush revived it, and the holiday was once again celebrated.

Republicans have commemorated this date annually throughout history despite opposition from Democrats. The political parties’ backing of this movement is not what makes today special. The importance of defending and saving all lives, born and unborn, is central to the movement and provides its greatest value.
Methods For Recognizing The Value Of Every Human Life
Regular prayer vigils are held in churches all over the United States. They also help by collecting necessities for infants and new mothers. Help these organisations by donating items like baby food, diapers, clothing, a crib, a blanket, and some toys.
Classes in infant care, daycare, vocational instruction, adoption services, and more are just some of the many services that some groups provide. Use the hashtag #SanctityOfLifeDay to spread the word on social media about the importance of protecting the unborn.
For The Rest Of The World,
The United States sets a fantastic precedent for human rights. However, some in Washington are fighting to keep the United States among a small handful of nations—including North Korea and China—that allow elective abortions after 20 weeks. Together with the countless others who share my view, I reiterate my call for the Congress to pass legislation outlawing abortions after 20 weeks.
Protecting the rights of the most defenceless members of our society, the unborn, has been a priority for my administration from the very beginning. In honour of National Sanctity of Human Life Day, we pledge to always advocate for the voiceless.
