Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion and current No. 2 in the world, is hoping to postpone this inevitable loss. Because of the tournament’s designated status, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, and Tony Finau will make uncommon appearances. Arnold Palmer Invitational 2023

There are only five tournaments on the PGA Tour. That are considered “invitational,” and the Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of them. The tournament field has been cut down to 120 players. And the tour’s priority ranking system will not be used to fill out the field. Moreover, there will be no open qualifying on the Monday before the tournament.

Beginning in 1979, Palmer has been a part of the event, which began in 1966 at Bay Hill Club and Lodge. The course features varied densities of bermudagrass across its 7,466 yard, par-72 layout. Before its opening in 1961, the course had already been planned by golf course architects Dick Wilson and Joe Lee.

Jon Rahm, now ranked first in the world, is leading the charge. As he strives for a fourth triumph in 2023 and sixth victory in his past 10 global appearances. If the Spaniard were to win, he would join an elite group of men. That includes only Ernie Els, Freddie Couples, and Hale Irwin, who have all triumphed in all three player-hosted invitationals. In such illustrious company, indeed.

In the United Kingdom, Sky subscribers can tune in to the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the Sky Golf channel. Besides Kayo in Australia, the tournament will be broadcast on The Golf Channel, NBC, and ESPN+ in the United States.

In order to access your home network when away from home, you should use a virtual private network (VPN). Also, you can find all the information you need to tune in to a live broadcast of today’s Arnold Palmer Invitational on TV right here.

Liberty Hold Caitlin Clark to Her Worst WNBA Game Yet in Win Over Fever

The New York Liberty put on a dominant performance against the Indiana Fever, limiting star rookie Caitlin Clark to one of her worst WNBA games yet. The Liberty’s strong defense and efficient offense led them to a 93-69 victory over the Fever.

Clark, who was drafted second overall by the Fever in this year’s draft, has been making waves in her first season with the team. She has averaged an impressive 20.3 points per game and has quickly become one of the league’s most exciting players to watch.

But on Tuesday night at Barclays Center, Clark struggled to find her rhythm as she faced off against veteran guard Betnijah Laney and the Liberty’s tough defense. She finished with just 8 points on 4-of-15 shooting, well below her season average.

The Liberty’s stifling defense limited Clark’s opportunities and forced her into difficult shots. They also capitalized on their offensive possessions, shooting 49% from the field and draining 13 three-pointers.

Laney led the way for the Liberty with a game-high of 23 points, showcasing her all-around skills as she also tallied 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu added 17 points and Kia Nurse chipped in with 14 points off the bench.

The win marks a turnaround for the Liberty, who had previously lost four straight games before this matchup. With this victory, they improve to 6-4 on the season and move closer to securing a playoff spot.

On the other hand, the Fever continue to struggle as they drop to 1-11 on the year. Despite Clark’s off night, she remains a key player for the team and will look to bounce back in their next game.

The Liberty’s strong performance against one of the league’s top rookies serves as a statement win for the team. They have proven that they can compete with anyone in the WNBA and are determined to make their mark this season.

Next up for the Liberty is a road game against the Connecticut Sun on Friday, while the Fever will face off against the Dallas Wings at home on Thursday. Fans can expect another exciting matchup as both teams look to continue their respective journeys in the league.

So, it can be said that Liberty’s dominant display against Clark and the Fever was a testament to their resiliency and determination to succeed in this year’s WNBA season. The team will look forward to carrying this momentum into their next game and continue their pursuit for a playoff spot.

Surya Kumar Yadav: You Can Learn A Lot From His Life Struggles

Published

on

Right-handed batsman for the Indian cricket team & the Mumbai batting team in regional events, Suryakumar Yadav is an Indian cricketer. Suryakumar has become a household name thanks in large part to his time spent with the Mumbai Indians of the IPL.

Suryakumar’s passion for cricket and badminton dates back to his early years. Ashok Kumar Yadav, the boy’s father, urged him to choose one sport and make a career out of it. His family moved from Banaras to Mumbai when he was just 10 years old.

Ashok enrolled Suryakumar at a cricket camp at Chembur’s BARC colony when he realized Suryakumar has the necessary abilities and aptitude for the sport. When he was 12, he enrolled in the Elf Vengsarkar academy, where he was mentored by Dilip Vengsarkar, an Indian cricket legend.

When Suryakumar was in school, he attended Pillai University of Arts, Commerce, and Science. As the best cricketer in the world under the age of 22, he was awarded the MA Raman Trophy in 2011. With four fifties and two hundreds, he scored 721 runs at an 80.11 percent clip in seven games.

Domestic Career Paths For Suryakumar Yadav

On 11 February 2010 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Suryakumar made his List-A debut for Mumbai, his native state, against Gujarat. He was the match’s second-highest scorer after his fast 41 off 37 balls.

A short time later, he debuted in Twenty20 cricket for Mumbai versus Hyderabad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament. He was out for 5, and the team lost by seven wickets.

At the year’s close, he was given his first shot at First-Class cricket, and he took advantage by making his debut against Delhi. This time, Surya wasn’t in the mood to share the spotlight, as seen by his match-high 73 not out.

After a spectacular start, Surya dominated the 2011–12 Ranji season, scoring 754 runs for Mumbai in only 9 games at a batting average of 68.54.

He scored a double century in his third game of the season, against Orissa, and then scored another hundred in his fourth encounter. In the 2011–12 season, at the Under-23 level, he scored over a thousand runs and took home the MA Chidambaram Cup.

Suryakumar was selected captain of the Mumbai side heading into the 2014–15 Ranji season. Suryakumar resigned as captain after Mumbai lost against Tamil Nadu by one inning and 44 runs, after making 487 strokes at a rate of 53.88. The former Mumbai skipper resigned because he wanted to concentrate on his batting.

In a match for the trophy in the Group B Premier League between Mumbai and Karnataka, he made 94 runs, helping his team win by seven wickets. Suryakumar will lead Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which will be awarded in 2020-21.

Suryakumar finally received his just reward and chance to play in the senior Indian men’s side after almost a decade of hard work in cricket at home and the IPL.

On March 14, 2021, at Ahmedabad, the Mumbai-born hitter made his debut for India in a Twenty20 International against England. Suryakumar did not get to bat in the inaugural T20I match, but he scored 57 in his maiden T20I inning in the following T20I match.

Suryakumar has not slowed down since then, instead advancing in great strides. He participated in four games for India in the 2021 Twenty20 World Cup, scoring 42 runs over the course of three innings.

With a win in the third and deciding Twenty20 International in Nottingham, India would have swept England 3-0. Suryakumar’s fireworks kept Indian fans optimistic even after the top of their batting order fell quickly.

He was aggressive against the English bowlers, playing elegant strokes that made batting appear easy. Suryakumar’s 55-ball 117, which included 14 fours and 6 sixes, put England at bay until the last over, when Moeen Ali removed the flamboyant Indian batter.

In the lead-up to World T20 2022, Suryakumar kept his spot in India’s T20 World Cup roster with some impressive knocks in bilateral series.

IPL Playing Time For Suryakumar Yadav

Yadav’s skills impressed the Mumbai Indians enough that they signed him to an IPL contract for the 2012 campaign. He was overlooked all season long, though, because of the presence of more seasoned players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, and Kieron Pollard.

This Mumbai player was acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the 2014 IPL auctions for INR 70 lakhs. His rookie club won the championship, and he contributed by driving in 164 runs.

His 20-ball 46 against the Mumbai Indians won the game and made him a household name during the 2015 Indian Premier League.

At the 2018 IPL super auction, he was re-acquired by the Mumbai Indians. Uncapped players like him often get the highest prices at auction, and he walked away with 3.2 crores. He appeared in 16 games during the 2019 season, scoring 424 runs at a rate of 32.61 with a high of 71.

Suryakumar dominated in the 2020 IPL season, scoring 480 runs at an impressive 40. He helped MI win consecutive IPL championships as the team’s second most run scorer, behind only Quinton de Kock.

Mumbai Indians kept Suryakumar as their fourth-best player going into the IPL 2022 super auction. He scored 303 runs in 8 games with an on-base percentage of 145.67 before being hurt and missing the rest of the season.
